Association Junior Olympic event qualifying for Region I meet in New York July 12-15.
Agest 8/under to 17-18 based on year of birth.
All events will contested at the meet except Steeplechase, 4x800, and combined events.  Waiver requests for advancement accepted through June 11.

THERE IS NO ON-SITE ENTRY.  Entry closes on Tuesday, June 12, at 8:00 p.m.
A current USATF 2018 Membership and proof of verified date of birth is required at the time of meet entry.   Proof of birthdate documents with membership number should be sent by email to or by fax to 617-939-0992

USATF Rules as stated in the 2018 rulebook will be followed.

Only USATF Youth members living in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont may compete in the New Engalnd assocaition meet. (There are separate Maine and Connecticuct meets)
Age Divisions are determined by YEAR OF BIRTH
8 & Under born 2010+
9 & 10 (born 2008-2009)
11 & 12 (born 2006–2007)
13 & 14 (born 2004–2005)
15 & 16 (born 2002–2003)
17 & 18 (born 2000-2001)
And born on or after July 30, 2000

ENTRY FEE - The entry fee is $7.00 per event
8 & under, 9-10, and 11-12 divisions may enter a maximum of three events, including relays. 
13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 divisions may enter a maximum of four events, including relays.
This includes waiver entries (Steeple, 4x800)
AWARDS - USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top 3 individuals and top 3 teams in the relay events in each event of each age division.
Relay Teams: Only registered 2018 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s).  
All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership.Athletes may not change clubs after entry.
NOTE: Steeplechase, hammer throw and Combined Events will be contested at the Region 1 meet only.  
However, athletes in these events must enter and submit an online registration form and fees in advance no later than June 12

ADVANCEMENT: The top 8 individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division may advance to the USATF Region 1 Championships to be held July 12-15, 2018, at Icahn Stadium, New York City.   One must declare / enter online for Region I after the NE meet on June 16.
Top 5 finishers in each event from Region 1 shall qualify for the National Junior Olympic Championships to be held from Monday, July 23 to Sunday July 29 in Greensboro, NC.
8 & Under must be at least 7 years of age on December 31 to advance to Nationals.

No Parents are allowed on the infield inside the fencing.
Only one head coach per club with proper credentials are allowed on the infield for HJ/PV marks only.  
There are grandstands.   No tends allowed in the stands 
There is an area provided for team tents.  
Food will be sold at a concession stand. 
There will be a certified athletic trainer on site.

Check-In begins at 8:00 a.m.    First events begin at 9:30 a.m.
All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front of their jerseys only.  Bib numbers will be distributed to clubs or individuals when they check in for the meet. 
Hip numbers for running events will be distributed during event check-in.
Check in at the throws/jump area
All implements must be checked before they can be used. 
Implement weigh-in area is next to registration. 
Rubber discus may NOT be used in competition.
No "run-backs" to get marks in long or triple jumps. Competitors must utilize measured marks. 
During competition, event results will be posted near registraton.  In addition, event results will  be posted at after 7pm on meet day
There will be a $25.00 fee for all protests.  Protests, including the appropriate rule, must be submitted to the Protest Referee at the press box not later than 30 minutes after results have been announced.  The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
FACILITY: Spike length maximum is 1/4", pyramid spikes only! 
Only blocks provided by Fitchburg State are allowed.
10/under - no blocks allowed for any race
11-12 - blocks only for 100 meters
13-18 - blocks only for 100 and 200
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:  All Races are Finals except for the 100 meters.
