2018 USATF New England Indoor Championship Preview

IMG_2097-(1).JPGDefending champions of the 2017 USATF New England Indoor Championships Sprinticity will look to become back-to-back champions. The men and women of the Vermont based club will face their biggest challenge from Boston-North Track Club. 

The men's mile in particular features Brian Crimmins and Henry Sterling of NE Distance, with seed times just over 4 minutes. All eyes will be on the finish line to see if the two men can run sub 4 minute miles.

Another notable event will be the men's 60 meter dash. The top three runners in the field are all within one tenth of a second. The event is lead by Boston North Track Club's Stephen Headley, who is also second in the Indoor Sports Chase going into the Indoor Championship.

June 2017 Athlete of the Month Erick Duffy will also be in attendance, competing in a Harvard uniform in the pole vault. He's seeded first at 5.00 meters, but will face competition from Scott Rathburn seeded at 4.59 meters.

Garrett Doyle, the Rhode Island high schooler who is ranked second in the United States in the weight throw will also be competing the scholastic weight throw. Teammate Evan Grivers, who is ranked tenth will be competing alongside him.
