Due to travel and team restrictions, this event will be held as both an asynchronous race at Franklin Park and as a virtual races from team home courses.  Results of all runs will be compiled into a meet result summary.

Participation protocol for those running at Franklin Park

USATF clubs, NCAA teams, and NIRCA clubs are eligible. 
This is NOT a youth / HS meet; it is intended for collegians and post-collegians. 
Club participation minimum age for open XC is 16 (USATF Rule 141)

There are two participation options

- Virtual race on a team's home course.  Teams may use a home or campus course which must be measured by wheel (NOT BY GPS).  Track races are not eligible.  The course may be run by the full team together at any time on Friday / Saturday, September 25-26.. 
Men and women may run together and use a standard start, wave start, or time-trial style start. 

Results in standard XC format must be submitted by a coach by 4pm on Sunday, September 27

- Asynchronous race at Franklin Park.  (Pending Boston Parks continued approval.)
Teams must make a reservation with USATF-NE and run the standard Franklin Park 5km courses
 as a team on Friday or Saturday, September 25-26.  This isolates all teams for safety purposes.  ALL TIME BLOCKS FOR BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ARE FILLED.

Those running at Franklin Park must request a one houre race window
Except for final strides and short loop, warmup and cooldown may not be done on the course
Teams will require compliance with Covid regulations including masking and a Covid waiver/questionaire. Out of state runners may require negative test evidence per MA rules.
 
USATF-NE will provide timing at the park. 




This is a team-only competition in 2020. 
No individual / unattached runners are accepted this year. 
Teams may be USATF-NE clubs (this is not a high school / youth race), college varsity programs, and NIRCA teams.

There is no entry fee this year. 
Intent to compete in the Virtual Race is due by Wednesday, September 23, 5pm.
