2018 East Region & New England Masters Indoor Championship

IMG_0193-(1).JPGThe highlight of the day was Julie Williams-Tinkham of the Twilight Throwers throwing a new American Record in the 35-39 age category of the weight throw. Her 15.51 meter throw earned her the gold medal at the meet. She also competed in the shot put and super weight throw. In 2017, Williams-Tinkham was named the August Athlete of the Month after breaking the American Record in the 35-39 age division for the super weight throw.

IMG_2297-(1).JPGThe highest age graded score of the day came from Ed Cox of the Syracuse Chargers. The 90 year old ran a 11.73 second 60 meters for an age graded score of 95.14%. He also competed in the 200 meters running a 43.72.

On the team side, Mass Velocity Track Club men and women left with the gold. The Mass Velocity men won by over 100 points to second place the Twilight Throwers. Second place for women was the Philadelphia Masters.

USATF New England board members Chris Pasko, Maggie Fox, Stephen Peckiconis and Jeffrey Rockwood also joined in on the action competing in a variety of events.
