USATF New England Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship Saturday, June 24, 2023 Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg MA RESULTS New England entry (top 8 in each event) opens on athletic.net Tuesday evening, June 27. Entry deadline is Wednesday, July 5, at 12:00 noon. New England Championships were held on Saturday, June 24 Registration https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/510874/register Notes on popular questions - Parking - No fee. Park in Wallace Civic Center lot - There is no admission fee at the meet. - There is a concession run by Fitchburg State. - No glass bottles may be brought in to the stands or competition areas - Throwers must bring their own implements. All entrants must be current 2023 USATF members with date of birth verification. HOW TO UPLOAD your DOB Verification: Video AGE DIVISIONS Divisions are based on year of birth (age on December 31) For 2023, 8/under - Born 2015 and later 9-10 - Born 2013 and 2014 11-12 - Born 2011 and 2012 13-14 - Born 2009 and 2010 15-16 - Born 2007 and 2008 17-18 - Born 2005 and 2006, and born after July 30, 2004 Entry requirements for the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Championship
ENTRY PROCESS Entry is closed as of Wednesday, June 21 Entry is online only using athletic.net Entry fee is $8 per individual event. There are no fees for relays. Ages 11/12 and under may enter up to 3 events including relays Ages 13/14 and over may enter up to 4 events including relays Relays count as an event as do those events entered by waiver. The combined events (triathlon/pentathlon/heptathlon/decathlon) do NOT count against the maximum. Events with Waivers To Region 1 The 4x800m relay, steeplechase, and combined events are not contested at the New England meet. Those interested in advancing to Region 1 in those events may request a waiver. Email the request to youth@newengland.usatf.org before June 23. Individuals entering events via waivers into the Region 1 meet must still enter and pay the fee for those events for the New England meet. The 'waiver' fee for combined events (decathlon/heptathlon/pentathlon/triathlon) is $8. There is no fee for the 4x800. Qualifying for Region 1 (corrected 6/12) The top _8_ (eight) finishers in each age group in each event at the New England meet qualify for the Region 1 Championship in Craryville, New York July 7-9 Qualifying for Nationals (UPDATED JUNE 22) The top _8_ (EIGHT) finishers in each age group in each event at the Region 1 meet qualify for the National Championship in Eugene OR July 7-9 - USATF Region 1 Championship hosted by Adirondack association Taconic Hills HS, Craryville NY - Note: 3 day meet Schedule now posted July 24-30 - USATF National Junior Olympic Championship University of Oregon, Eugene OR See the USATF-NE online schedule for other youth track and field meets in the New England association
