Boston-North repeats as Relay Champions

Boston North won both the men's and women's "Gold Baton" at the third annual USATF New England Relay Championships held at Merrimack College in North Andover MA on Saturday.

After the opening 4x100 meter races, the meet was suspended for 45 minutes as a thunderstorm passed through. Following the storm, competitors had a sunny afternoon of racing with reduced humidity. 

Both team wins came down to the 4x400 relay, with the Boston North men scoring 20 points to Old Goat TC's 16, and the BN women edging Providence Cobras 16-13 for the win.  Eight clubs scored points. 

Records were set in half the meet's ten events. Boston North women set new standards in the 4x800 and Spring Medley, the men brought down the Sprint Medley and 4x400 marks, and Old Goat TC established a new Distance Medley best.
