Greater Springfield Harriers win USATF Masters 5km title for M50+

The Greater Springfield Harriers men's 50+ team battled high humidity and strong competition in Atlanta to win the team title at the USATF Masters 5km M50+ team title. Their total time of 51:45 was 47 seconds better than Garden State TC, giving GSH their third National M50 team win of 2019 and the lead in the USATF National Masters Grand Prix.
The scoring team was led by M55 winner Nat Larson who ran 16:54 with the men's top age graded performance of the day at 92.20%.   Larson was followed by Mark Hixson in 16:54 (2nd M50, 8th age grade 90.12%), Kent Lemme (9th M50, 17:57) and Francis Burdett (13th M50, 18:07).
