New Englanders honored at USATF Annual Meeting
Laurie Boemker receives President's Award
A number of USATF New England administrators and athletes were recognized at the USATF Annual Meeting held last week held in a hybred onsite/online format.
Laurie Boemker
(Cranston RI), past USATF-NE Officials Certification Chair, received one of several prestigious President's Awards for her career contributions to the sport. She has been a TAC/USATF official since 1983, an NCAA official since 1983, and a high school official since 1980. An outspoken leader for women's track and field for many years, she has served on both USATF and World Athletics Women's Commissions, on the USATF Rules Committee, and officiated at both national and international championship events.

East Region Volunteer of the Year
for his contributions to association operations.
