Dan Curts is July Athlete of the Month

Dan Curts (Northwood Athletics, NH), is the USATF-New England Athlete of the Month for July 2022. Curts finished second overall at the USA Vertical Mountain Running Championships held in conjunction with the Loon Mountain Race in Lincoln, New Hampshire on on July 10.  Only current World Mountain Running champion Joe Gray beat him to the finish line.

The race also served as the USATF-NE association Mountain Championship, with Curts winning the asociation title.  The 2022 race was one of the most competitive at Loon, as it included multiple former members of the US Mountain Running Team, and 2 current Nordic skiing Olympians.
