USATF-NE Youth clubs at front of pack in Region 1 Junior Olympic cross country

USATF-NE clubs and athletes were dominent at the USATF Region 1 Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships held at Queensbury New York High School on November 19.  New England association runners made up over half of the 789 competitors coming from 6 USATF associations.  Ten championship races for boys and girls covered age divisons from age 8 and under to 15-18.

The top 5 teams and other individuals finishing among the top 30 in each race qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships on December 9 in Louisville, Kentucky.   Seven USATF-NE clubs won team titles with 26 total teams representing 8 clubs qualifying to advance to Nationals.

The races had four individuals winners from the association -
Everett Smith (Cheetah RC, B/Under)
Conor Rightmire (Miarshfield RR, 11-12),
Kata Clark (NE Elite, 15-16),
Anna Fondakowski (NE Elite, 17-18). 

The top USATF-NE individual and team placers in each race.
