New England hosts Region 1 Junior Olympics

New England hosted the USATF Region 1 Junior Olympic Championship for the first time since 2018 last weekend at Fitchburg State University.  One of the largest regional fields ever - 1240 entrants - took advantage of the Fitchburg State University facilities in good weather conditions in quest of a top 5 place medal or a top 8 finisher needed to qualify for the National Championship in Savannah, Georgia, July 22-27.
