Nina Caron is September's Athlete of the Month

Nina Caron (Whirlaway Racing Team) is the September 2025 USATF New England Athlete of the Month after a record setting performance at the USATF-NE 10km Championship Race.

Caron set a pending US W65 division record at the North Shore RunFest 10K in Salem MA on September 7. Challenged by both the course and the steady rain, she covered the distance in 40:33, bettering the previous approved US best of 41:57 set in 2017.
The was her second US best of the summer, having also broken the W65 8km record at the Bobby Doyle Race in Narragansett RI on August 10.  Her time of 31:50 in Narragansett RI also bettered the established mark by over a minute.
