Record numbers at USATF-NE Junior Olympic meet

Association championship draws 1000+

June 13-14, Wenham MA

The USATF New England Junior Olympic championship meet saw record numbers compete at Gordon College on June 13 and 14.
Individual entrants crested 1000 individuals for the first time ever, and the new two day format allowed shorter days and better opportunites to 'double'.
The spring youth series, now in its fourth year, has helped grow participaton particularly in the younger age division.  The meet also saw multiple Paralympic athletes take part as USATF takes on the leadership role for Para track & field this year.

The top 8 finishers in each event in each age division qualified for the upcoming Region 1 Championship to be hosted by the New England association at Fitchburg State University July 11-13.
Entry for Region 1 closes on Monday, July 7.  Region 1 Info
