Eligibility

Series Rules (link)
Scoring - Individuals
- Women and Men
Individual Scoring will be compiled for Open Men and Women with points based on placing percentile. Masters (Age 40+) Age Graded score use standard age grading tables.
An competitor's best 4 of 5 score or age graded race points will be totaled for final standings.
Athletes must complete at least three races to be eligible for individual awards and be included in the final Series standings.
If separate Open and 40+ races are offered, 40+ runners will earn individual points and score for a team only in the division of the race they run. For example, if a Master runs in an open race to score for their Open team, they will not earn individual points.
Scoring - Teams
Teams must compete and score in at least three series races, one of which must be the USATF-NE X-C Championships, to be eligible for team prizes.
Traditional team cross country scoring will be used.
A club's top 5 runners (with 2 displacers) will score for Open Men, Men 40+, Men 50+ and Open Women divisions. If a team in the above-mentioned divisions fail to finish 5 runners, they will be considered “incomplete” and not included in team scoring.
A club's top 3 runners (with 2 displacers) will score for Women 40+, Women 50+, Women 60+ and Men 60+ divisions. If a team in the above-mentioned divisions fail to finish 3 runners, they will be considered “incomplete” and not included in team scoring.
Runners on incomplete teams, unattached runners, runners on non-USATF-NE teams, and runners without a valid USATF-NE membership will not be included when compiling team scores.
Teams do not need to declare eligible scoring runners prior to competition.
In the event of a tie, the team with the better placing last scorer gets the higher team place per USATF Rules of Competition.
Runners dropping down in age divisions for team scoring purposes must run in the appropriate age division race if there are separate age division races.
Points are awarded to all scoring teams in all divisions. The first-place team in each division will receive points equal to the number of scoring teams in that division, with a minimum of 5 points. The following ranked team will receive one point less until all teams have been scored.
