2021 USATF New England Road Race Grand Prix

The 2021 USATF-NE Road Race Grand Prix series concluded at the Frank Nealon Boston Tune-Up 15km in Upton, MA, the fourth event contested in an abbreviated schedule.

While a fifth race (5km) was considered, a number of factors led to the decsion of an earlier end to the series; see the letter from the LDR Chairs.

We congratulate the club and individual series winners and appreciate the participants who supported the events, which themselves encountered signficant challenges to conduct their event. 

The LDR committee is now focused on putting together a great 2022 Road Grand Prix schedule. Suggestions and race contacts are welcome!

Notes:
- Many road races this year fully lost or had reductions in sponsorships and are operating under limited budgets due to financial issues caused by the pandemic.  
- With the 4 race schedule, there are no Ironrunner scoring or jacket awards.

Selection of events for the 2022 USATF New England Road Race Grand Prix 
will be by member online voting in December 2021
The USATF-NE Road Race Grand Prix offers the best in open and age group competition in the four state region with both club and individual scoring.  All team scorers and individual placers must be USATF members before a race. Individuals score 20 deep in the open division and 10 deep in 5 year age divisions for masters.
Age graded marks for masters (age 40+)  are scored 10 deep for each race, with the top marks totaled for awards at the end of the season.
