USATF-NE Indoor Youth Meets

USATF-New England hosted two youth track and field meets at Wheaton College.

Meet 1 (January 9):   
   60 / 300 / 1000 / mile / mile racewalk
   Long Jump, Shot Put,   High Jump 

Meet 2 (January 23):   
    3:30 p.m. Order of events - 1 mile racewalk, 1 mile, 60, 1000, 300
    3:00 p.m . All field events - Long Jump, Shot Put,  High Jump

There will be "Spotlight Events" with time standards open to all competitors age 14 and up - incuding open athletes.   

Jan 23 - 200m (23.50 men, 26.50 women)  600m (1:24.0 men, 1:40.0 women) Mile (4:32 men, 5:12 women)

Age divisions
Minimum of 7 years old on meet day to participate 
Otherwise, standard 2 year Junior Olympic ages (age on December 31, not age on meet day)
Maximum age is 18 or still in high school

All entrants/participants must be 2022 USATF members

No day of event entry.

Covid Restrictions: 
All participants must be masked except for actual competition (masking required during warmups).  This will be strictly enforced.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT FOR YOUTH -
Wheaton College regulations do not allow any spectators or parents in the building which includes both the track and the registration area.
Parents should consider if their child can handle being in the facility without a parent. 

Club coaches are allowed and must be 
1) on the club's membership profile
2) 3 step compliant - USATF member, SafeSport trained, USATF background screening
Unattached athletes are not eliglbe to have personal coaches enter the facility

PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN LOT 3, 4, and 8.  Lot 7 is reserved. 

MEET 2 SCHEDULE 

FIELD EVENT- TIME SCHEDULE: 3PM: ALL HIGH JUMPERS GIRLS AND BOYS (BAR WILL START AT 3ft 4in) - athletes will need to declare their opening height with officials.  3 attempts at each height - bar will NOT be lowered for those late or who miss their call! ALL GIRLS SHOT PUT - athletes must bring their own implements.  Each athlete will receive 3 throws ALL 12YR & YOUNGER BOYS LONG JUMPERS - there will be no runbacks, come prepared with marks.  Each athlete will receive 3 jumps LIVE RESULTS  ON RACE DAY - live.harrierrace.com 4PM: ALL BOYS SHOT PUT - athletes must bring their own implements.  Each athlete will receive 3 throws ALL 12YR & YOUNGER GIRLS LONG JUMPERS - there will be no runbacks, come prepared with marks.  Each athlete will receive 3 jumps 5PM: ALL 13-14YR GIRLS LONG JUMP - there will be no runbacks, come prepared with marks.  Each athlete will receive 3 jumps 5:45PM: ALL 15YR & OLDER GIRLS LONG JUMP - there will be no runbacks, come prepared with marks.  Each athlete will receive 3 jumps 6:30PM: ALL 13YR & OLDER BOYS LONG JUMP - there will be no runbacks, come prepared with marks.  Each athlete will receive 3 jumps   TRACK EVENT - TIME SCHEDULE ALL EVENTS WILL BE RUN YOUNGEST TO OLDEST BY GENDER, ALL BOYS YOUNGEST TO OLDEST FOLLOWED BY ALL GIRLS YOUNGEST TO OLDEST: 3:30PM: Racewalk 3:45PM: 1 Mile Run 5:00PM: 60m Dash 5:35PM: 1000m Run 6:15PM: 300m Dash 7:00PM: Spotlight 600m Run (1 SECTION WOMEN FOLLOWED BY 1 SECTION MEN) 7:10PM: Spotlight 1 Mile  (1 SECTION WOMEN FOLLOWED BY 1 SECTION MEN) 7:20PM: Spotlight 200m (1 SECTION WOMEN FOLLOWED BY 1 SECTION MEN)   THERE WILL BE LIVE RESULTS FOR BOTH MEETS AT: live.harrierrace.com
