RESULTS

$5800 Prize Purse Provided by USATF-New England for the Championship Races

2023 marks the 33rd edition the Mayor's Cup. Founded in 1990 by legendary Boston coach Bill Squires to bring open cross country back to Franklin Park, the first race drew just nine runners. The event now draws nearly 1000 entrants from youth development to international caliber harriers. All races get at least one shot at Bear Cage Hill.

YOUTH ENTRY

Youth entry fee is $10 per runner
Pre-Entry Deadline: Wednesday, October 18, 2023 11:59:00 PM
Limited day of event entry will be available, fee of $15
Must complete entry 30 minutes before the desired race starts.

FRANKLIN PARK 5K AND CHAMPIONSHIP RACE ENTRY
Online entry only at SimplyRegister.net 
Entry Fee is $25.
$15 For High School runners in the 5K
Pre-Entry Deadline: Thursday, October 19, 2023 11:59:00 PM
Limited day of event entry will be available, fee of $35
Must be entered by 10:30 a.m.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

9:30 a.m.- Youth 1.1 Mile races - Course   Course Video 
* Minimum age is 6 years old on race day. Parents may not run with children! 
* Division is age on day of race.   
* Teams and individuals welcome
* Separate girls and boys races for each division
* Team scoring in each race, based on finish place of top 3 runners.  A and B teams may be declared. 
* Bring your own water bottle!

Youth Races: 
9:30 a.m. age 10 and younger Girls 
9:45 a.m. age 10 and younger Boys   
    Age 10/under races score individuals 8/under and 9-10
10:00 a.m. age 11-12yr Girls 
10:15 a.m. age 11-12yr Boys   
10:30 a.m. age 13-14 Girls   
10:45 a.m. age 13-14 Boys  
11:00 a.m.  AWARDS

11:00 a.m. Franklin Park 5K All Comers  Course   Course Video
* Open to runners of all abilities
* Minimum age 15 on race day
* Single race, combined women and men
* Team scoring requires 5 runners finishing, one team per organization.
Teams may be clubs, schools, school groups, or community groups.
* Bring your own water bottle!

11:40 a.m. - Championship Races 
Women's course  Men's course  5K Course Video
* Women's 5km (11:40 a.m.) followed by Men's 8km (12:10 p.m.) championship races.
* Minimum age 15 on race day.
* Suggested times are 23:00 or better for women and 33:00 or better for men
* Team scoring is limited to current USATF member clubs, foreign federation clubs (Canada) and college teams.  
All individual scorers for USATF clubs must be current USATF members
* Bring your own water bottle.

AWARDS

Youth Races
Backpacks to divison winners (8/U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14)
Medals to the top 3 individuals in each division and the 3 scoring members of the top 3 teams in each race
Awards Ceremony for youth at 11:00 a.m.

Franklin Park 5K All Comers
Medals to age group winners - 15-18, 19-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Awards may be picked up at the registration area

Championship Races
Individual prize money to top eligible placers.
Team prize money to the top 3 eligible teams.
Team scoring: 5 score, 7 displace.
Mayor's Cup to winning individuals. Bill Squires Award to winning teams.
