Boston Mayor's Cup Cross Country Sunday, October 27, 2024, 9:30 a.m. Franklin Park, Boston MA The 34th Mayor's Cup is supported by and partnered with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department. The race was founded by legendary Boston area coach Bill Squires October 1 News - COURSES The historic / traditional courses WILL be used in 2024 !!! Event Registration ENTRY - Women's Championship 5K - $25 (Registration) Men's Championship 8K - $25 (Registration) Franklin Park All-Comers 5K - $25 (Registration) Youth Races and High School entry to Franklin Park 5K 1.1 mile ($10), ages 15-17 in Open 5k ($15) (Registration) Youth - Boston city resident Youth indivdiuals and non-USATF club (age 6-17) Registration COMPETITION SCHEDULE
9:30 a.m.- Youth 1.1 Mile races - Course Course Video * Minimum age is 6 years old on race day. Parents may not run with children! * Division is age on day of race. * Teams and individuals welcome * Separate girls and boys races for each division * Team scoring in each race, based on finish place of top 3 runners. A and B teams may be declared. * Bring your own water bottle!
11:00 a.m. Franklin Park 5K All Comers Course Course Video * Open to runners of all abilities age 15 up on race day * Single race, combined women and men * Team scoring requires 5 runners finishing, one team per organization. Teams may be clubs, schools, school groups, or community groups. 11:40 a.m. - Women's 5K Championship Race 12:15 p.m. - Men's 5K Championship race Women's course Men's course * Minimum age 15 on race day.for championship races * Time standards are 23:00 or better for women and 33:00 or better for men * Team scoring is limited to current USATF member clubs, foreign federation clubs (Canada) and college teams. All individual scorers for USATF or foreign clubs must be current USATF or home federation members
Youth Races Divison winners (8/U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14) Medals to the top 3 individuals in each division Medals to the 3 scoring members of the top 3 teams in each race Awards Ceremony for youth at 11:00 a.m. Franklin Park 5K All Comers Medals to age group winners - 15-18, 19-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards may be picked up at the registration area after 11:45 Championship Races Mayor's Cup to winning individuals.. Bill Squires Award to winning teams. Individual prize money to top eligible placers. Team prize money to the top 3 eligible teams. Team scoring: 5 score, 6-7 displace. * Please carpool to Franklin Park; parking is limited. * Bring your water bottle
