USATF New England Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship Friday and Saturday, June 20-21, 2025 Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg MA The qualifying event for the Region 1 Championship meet July 11-13 in Fitchburg Note: To better accommodate participants and better utilize facilities, several events will be contested on Friday afternoon, June 20. REGION 1 WEBSITE will be up in May RACE DAY RESULTS WILL BE FOUND ONLINE at ATHLETIC.NET The New England Association Championship is the first leg in the Junior Olympic program, open to all youth ages 6-18 with no qualifying standards Divisions are based on year of birth (age on December 31) 8/under - Born 2017 and later 9-10 - Born 2015 and 2016 11-12 - Born 2013 and 2014 13-14 - Born 2011 and 2012 15-16 - Born 2009 and 2010 17-18 - Born 2007 and 2008, and born after July 28, 2006

FACILITY MAP ENTRY AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS The meet is open to all youth with no qualifying standards. Entry requirements for the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Championship
ENTRY PROCESS Entry will open May 1 and close Tuesday, June 17 at 12:00 noon Entry is online only using athletic.net Entry fee is $8 per individual event. There are no fees for relays. Ages 11/12 and under may enter up to 3 events including relays Ages 13/14 and over may enter up to 4 events including relays Relays count as an event as do those events entered by waiver. The combined events (triathlon/pentathlon/heptathlon/decathlon) do NOT count against the maximum. Events with Waivers To Region 1 The combined events are not contested at the New England meet. Those interested in advancing to Region 1 in the events may request a waiver. - Email the request to youth@newengland.usatf.org before June 19 - Individuals entering events via waivers into the Region 1 meet must still enter and pay the fee for those events for the New England meet. The 'waiver' fee for combined events (decathlon/heptathlon/pentathlon/triathlon) is $8. Qualifying for Region 1 The top 8 (eight) finishers in each age group in each event at the New England meet qualify for the Region 1 Championship Qualifying for Nationals The top _5_ (five) finishers in each age group in each event at the Region 1 meet qualify for the National Championship July 11-13 - USATF Region 1 Championship Icahn Stadium, New York City July-Aug - USATF National Junior Olympic Championship Location Notes on popular questions - Parking - No fee - park as directed in the Wallace Civic Center lot - There is no admission fee to the meet. - There is a concession run by Fitchburg State. - No glass bottles may be brought in to the stands or competition areas - Throwers must bring their own implements. Weigh-in will be located next to registration - Absolutely no dogs (except identifiable service dogs) allowe in the track, sttands, or spectator areas.
