USATF Coaching Education Cross Country Specialty School Online

June 22 - The school has reached capacity and registration is closed

June 10, 2020

One casualty of the Covid-19 situation was cancellation of a scheduled USATF Cross Country coaching specialist course in New England.
On the plus side, the course is now available for the first time as a 12-hour online presentation over two days later this month, Friday and Saturday, June 26-27, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with breaks).

The course features technical sessions, laboratory activities, cross country specialty drills, periodization training for the cross country season, team building strategies, and long term athlete development for the endurance runner.

The course will be led by coaches Scott Christensen and Thom Hunt, who have received high marks for their in-person presentations. The registration details are found at
https://www.usatf.org/programs/coaches/calendar-of-schools

The course benefits include
- Recognition as a USATF Cross Country Skill Specialist
- Eligibility as Level 1 Recertification course
- Qualification for one CEU from Indiana University

The program is open to USATF members age 18 and over.  We hope all clubs with an XC program will recommend this to their coaches.
Registration is limited - so don't delay in registering.
