2021 Covid Resources and USATF-NE Event Status (updated regularly)
Current state guidelines and restrictions, status of association events
With the status of health regulations affecting all aspect of our sport changing on all levels on a daily basis, this page will address Covid-19 related USATF-NE resources and events status. News covers information for ahtletes, coaches, and event directors (particularly event cancellations and postponements). It will be updated regularly.
USATF-NE has collected USATF guidelines along with the 4 USATF-NE state, local, and program specific resources onto a single reference page. Information is changing almost daily and the info is not exhaustive, but this does provide material so clubs and events can prepare materials needed for resuming activities. It should be your go-to page

USATF national statements and policies from the national level relating to Covid-19 and return to practice/competition are at

Ability to gain access to facilities, and to hold club practicies and competitions depend on following state and local restrictions which differ in every state. Sport participation is characterized by risk level, and youth sports may have more specific restrictions.
Some competitions are returning to the schedule in smaller or restricted formats, but most are still on hold.
Always contact the event even if it appears on a posted schedule as there may be changes or restrictions.

STATUS OF USATF-NEW ENGLAND, NATIONAL, AND WORLD EVENTS
USATF-NE Road Race Grand Prix
No start date for 2021 as of yet; as road races still not allowed in MA or VT
Several of last year's Championships which were to carry forward have been canceled again.
USATF-NE Mountain Circuit
Tentative schedule can be found on the
Mountain/Ultra/Trail page
with the opening event at Cranmore in July.
All Terrain Runner Series
To be announced with a July start
Youth
The Association Junior Olympic Track & Field will run in late June.
It is likely to be held over 2 or more days and possibly at multiple sites.
The Region 1 meet is scheduled for Maine July 8-11
Open/Masters Track & Field
The Open/Masters Championship will take place no earlier than mid-July.
Selected event Mini-meets are planned from mid-May forward
Battle Road Twilight Series (May/June) - no meets until July, if at all
Bay State Games - uncertain
Other series - uncertain
Major road events
The B.A.A. Boston Marathon is scheduled for Columbus Day
