2022 USATF-NE Road Race Grand Prix Announced
7 event series will visit all 4 association states
The USATF-New England Road Race Grand Prix will return to a full 7 event schedule and visit all four USATF-NE states in 2022.
The schedule includes two races which have been on hold for two years due to Covid restrictions (Vermont City Marathon and BIGGSteps 5k), a first time series event (Primary Bank Super Sunday 4 Mile), and four popular returning events.
The USATF-NE Long Distance Running Committee chairs appreciate the efforts of those directors who presented bids to host a championship, as a number of top road races in the area are still determining how they will return to action. As in the past, all team scorers and individual placers must be USATF members prior to a race.
The 2022 series is comprised of the following:
February 13, Sunday - 4 Mile - Primary Bank Super Sunday 4 Miler, Bedford NH
March 20, Sunday - Half Marathon - New Bedford Half Marathon, New Bedford MA
May 29, Sunday - Marathon - Vermont City Marathon, Burlington VT
August 14, Sunday - 5 Mile - Bobby Doyle 5 Mile, Narragansett RI
August 27, Saturday - 10 Mile - Allen Mello NH Ten Miler, Auburn/Manchester NH
September 25, Sunday - 10 km - Lone Gull 10K, Gloucester MA
November 13, Sunday - 5 km - BIGGSteps 5K, Needham MA
