2022 Road Championships wrap up at BIGGSteps 5K

The USATF-NE Road Race Grand Prix concluded at the BIGGSteps 5K in Needham MA on Sunday, November 13, and besides finalizing the 2022 series scoring, the race was rewarded with a new pending USA 5km record.

Nat Larson (Gr.Springfield Harriers/Amherst MA) continued his first year as a 60 year old with another US best by clocking 16:35 on a cool, wet day. Nat placed 58th in the field of 504 runners.  
Overall winners Dage Minors (14:44) and Maddie Berkson (16:10) each earned their first USATF-NE championship over strong fields on a crowded racing day.  Hartbeat New England men and Tracksmith Boston Hares women were team winners and scored well enough to win the 2022 Grand Prix open division, their first series victories.
