Good weather and good competition at Junior Olympic Cross Country

A dry course and favorable temperatures made for fast times and spirited competition at the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships held at Highland Park in Attleboro MA on Sunday.  Ten races were contested for ages 8 and under through ages 15-18 with individual and team medals on the line.

Nashua PAL from New Hampshire won four team races - Boys age 9-10, Girls 8/Under, Girls 9-10, and Girls 11-12.  Other winning teams came from Cheetahs Runing Club NH (B8/Under), Granite State Flash (B15-18), New England Elite MA (B13-14, G15-18), Sentinel Striders RI (B11-12) and Waltham TC MA (G13-14),

The top 5 teams and other individuals finishign in the top 30 in each race qualify for the Region 1 Championship meet to be held a the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex at Staten Island, New York..
