Paralympics begin in Paris

Three New England athletes represent USA in track & field

Following the Olympic Games, the Paralympic competition begins in Paris on August 30 with three New England track & field competitors on Team USA's 228 athlete squad (54 in track & field).  The meet regularly follows the Olympic Games in the host city.  Paralympians are classified by their impairment and compete within that classification.
The local team members are
Femita Ayanbeku  - Brockton MA - 2016 and 2020 Paralympian
    T64 - sprints
     Ayanbeku made the 2024 team just 6 months after giving birth to a son.
Liza Corso - Newmarket NH
     T13 - middle distance - 2020 Paralympian silver medalist
Noelle Lambert - Manchester NH - 2020 Paralympian
     T63 -  long jump, sprints  

Long time college and club coach Sherman Hart, who coaches Ayambeku, is on the Team USA staff.
