Track Events:
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m
1500m Race Walk, Hurdles - 80m/100m/110m and 200m/400m)
4x100m relay, 4x400m relay
Field Events: Shot Put, Disc, Javelin, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault

The 4x800m relay, steeplechase, hammer, and combined events are not contested at the New England meet.  Those interested in advancing to Region 1 may request a waiver.  Email youth@newengland.usatf.org

Meet basics:
The meet is open to all youth with no qualifying standards
Competition is by Age divisions 
Age divisions are based on year of birth - the age on December 31.
For 2022,
8/under - Born 2014 and later
9-10   - Born 2012 and 2013
11-12 - Born 2010 and 2011
13-14 - Born 2008 and 2009
15-16 - Born 2006 and 2007
17-18 - Born 2004 and 2005, and born after July 31, 2003

Entry requirements for the USATF-NE Junior Olympic Championship 

  1. 2022 USATF membership  http://bit.ly/USATFMembership
  2. Date of birth verification. 
    1. This  is done by uploading proof of date of birth in the membership system (USATF Connect) through the individual membership profile. This can now be completed by club coaches for club members
    2. Here is a short helpful video on the process.
  3.  Enter meet, pick events via Athletic.net Entry process information and link 
Take care of birthdate verification as soon as membership is completed as approval can take up to 5 business days. Entry cannot begin without birthdate verification.

Age groups 8/under to 11/12 may enter 3 events including relays.
Age groups 13/14, 15/16, and 17/18 may enter 4 events including relays.

Region 1 Championship:
July 7-10, Bowdoin College, Brunswick Maine
The top 8 finishers in each event in each age group at the New England meet qualify to compete in the USATF Region 1 Championship. 
Entry opens Wednesday June 22.  Entry closes July 5
