Regional championship and qualifier for Nationals
Updated April 21, and will be updated weekly 2026 USATF Region 1 Track & Field Championships GORDON COLLEGE, WENHAM MA Thursday - Sunday, June 25-28, 2026 Hosted by the USATF New England association REGISTRATION will be on Athletic.net Registration closes on Tuesday, June 23 at 12:00 noon QUALIFYING FOR REGION 1 MEET The top 8 finishers in each event in each age group from each of the six associations in Region 1 qualify for the meet. Those associations are Adirondack, Connecticut, Long Island, Maine, New England, and New York. COMPETITION SCHEDULE The championship will be contested as a 4 day meet and will include the Combined events (Triathlon, Pentathlon, Heptathon, Decathlon) on the first day. LATE REGISRATION PERIOD - June 23 12:01 p.m thru June 23 at 6 p.m. LATE REGISTRATION FEE is an additional $25 PER EVENT FACILITY NOTES PARKING SPECTATOR ADMISSION FEE No fee on Thursday, Day 1 (Combined events) Daily - $ 3 day - $ Age 12 and under - Free 3-Step Compliant Coaches - Free (proof required) Spectator Ticket purchases will be entirely online HOTELS There is no specific host hotel or hotel room block at this time Massachusetts North Shore is a tourist destination, so hotel seaerches should start wtih the towns of Danvers and Peabody MA going north on I-95 or heading south on I-95 through Waltham MA The meet is prior to the start of "tourist season" / July 4 weekend ADVANCEMENT TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP National Information Page The top 5 (FIVE) finishers in each event at the Region 1 meet will again qualify for the National championships to be held July 27 - August 2 at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California In the combined events and the race walk (all divisions), the top 2 (two) finishers in each division from Region 1 qualify for Nationals, as well as athletes who achieve the qualifying standard stated on the National Championship website; the standard must be achieved at the association or Region 1 meet.
